As the son of born and bred Immigrants. I was fortunate to witnessed Singapore’s great transformation. In fact. I was born 2 months just before, Singapore got its independence.
So I can proudly say that I am 2 months older then Singapore ! Since I was born in June 1965 .I was lucky enough to see its transformation from a mosquito filled tropical stop for the British into a bustling metropolitan city that it is today. (See my page on Singapore transformation)
My intimate knowledge of this region, and my experiences of having lived here all of my life, give me an insight,to which simply , many dont have , together with it my enthusiasm and a desire to make my home, your home.
Truly, I love Singapore and I love my job!
Lets be honest, no mother at the birth of their children, will declare, this kid of mine will one day become realtor . 🙂 Like many , this was not my 1st choice .
I worked in many varied industries from I.t. to banking . I was in banking when the lehman brother’s sub prime crisis happened. I got to see firsthand , how investors who invested with “such ” safe instruments as told by their “bankers” ironically, lost everthing . Many were old folks, who no longer had the “years” left , to make up for what they lost .
At that time, i was also dealing with landlords, who though affected, were only marginally affected . It was there , i realize , that property is actually 1 of the better investment ( As a banker, i was told to stay away from real estate and push my own banks products ).
I felt, that if i ever leave banking, thats what i would do . Help , show with facts and figures, how real estate can be 1 of the best investment decision, that any person, can make .
So .Here i am today, not only seeing how singapore has transformned but also i bring with it a unique prespective no one has . After all, how many people can you meet, who can tell you, that they are older, then the country , they are born in 🙂 . With it,too, how, real estate investing in singapore, can be a safe , long term bet for yourself and your family.
